Metalen straatnaambord ‘Louis Davidsstraat’ – donkerblauw met reliëfletters – Nederlandse - Plate - Metal - street name sign

Metal street sign ‘Louis Davidsstraat’ – dark blue with relief letters – Dutch cabaret history

A street name with a story! This elongated metal street sign combines a deep dark blue background with striking, light-colored letters in relief. Under the street name is the caption: ‘NED. CABARETIER 1883–1939’.

The strong typography and the high-contrast color usage give the sign a recognizable Dutch street appearance. The well-worn finish adds character and makes it an attractive wall decoration for a study, hall, music room or an interior with industrial accents.

A name from Dutch theatre history

Louis Davids, born Simon David, belonged to the well-known names of Dutch cabaret and revue. With his portrayal of De kleine man from 1929 he gained lasting fame. This sign thus unites the charm of Dutch street signs with a reference to our musical and cultural past.

A special collectible for enthusiasts of street signs, typography, kleinkunst, and Dutch heritage.
