Paar antieke zilverglas kandelaars - Candleholder (2) - Glass

A pair of fine antique so-called silver-glass candelabras—or also called pauper's candlesticks.

These blown-glass candlesticks were coated on the inside with mercury silvering so that the 'arms' could also have silver candlesticks in the home.

These decorative and practical objects are called in France 'Argent des Pauvres', which sounds a bit more chic.

Both date from the 19th century and are in good condition.

Dimensions: 29 x 12 cm.
