AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

A lovely vase with the name 'CHAMPAGNE" designed by René Delvenne in 1966 and made by Val Saint Lambert in Belgium. The design of diamonds in a deep prune-red contrasting against the clear crystal background give the piece an elegant appearance. A broad band of sparkling diamond-cut crystal is topped by a row of playful arrows, pointing upwards towards the prune-red diamond shapes.

The vase is blown with clear crystal, after which a layer of prune-red crystal is applied, which is then ground back to create the final design. This doubled crystal process was perfected by Val Saint Lambert and used extensively. Crystal from this famous factory has a high lead content of 33 - 40%, much higher than the legally required 24%. This extra lead content gives the product extra brilliance and clarity.

The vase stands 17 cm. high. Diameter at the top is 12,5 .cm. and the foot is 7.5 cm.
Condition is near MINT with only very slight scratching on the base due to movement.

Careful packaging will ensure a safe delivery. See my feedback on Catawiki.
