L. Valderi - Sculpture, Homme et Panthère - 47 cm - Metal, marble - 1925

Large and rare sculpture by L. Valderi, depicting a running man subduing a panther with bare hands. A work cast in art bronze with a patinated bronze appearance, on a base of marble and onyx.
It is signed L.Valderi on the base.
This incredible sculpture, magnificently executed, with a lot of movement, strength and grace, may be a unique piece... I have never seen a similar one. L. Valderi's sculptures are rare and sought-after, with a truly distinctive style.
Origin: Private collection.
The sculpture is in very good condition, with minor flaws due to age, rare patina wear, tiny chips on the base, and either a minor flaw or a depiction of a wound behind the panther's hind ear.
Please take a good look at the photos that are part of the description.
