Sofa - Wood

Thonet-style bench or settee, in terms of technique and formal language, even though attribution to Thonet production needs to be verified.
Wood that is curved and shaped: a technique widely used in furniture production between the 19th and 20th centuries.
Viennese straw seating: typical of the Austro-Hungarian tradition and of furniture production for cafés and drawing rooms.
Backrest decoration: the stylized motif may recall the eclectic taste of the late 19th century, but by itself it is not a reliable chronological criterion.
Armrests and side panels: their elaborate shapes could indicate artisanal production or a specialized manufactory.
