Description from the seller
Akai GX-F80 Cassette Deck
The Akai GX-F80 is a high-quality vintage stereo cassette deck, manufactured in Japan around 1979–1982. Designed for demanding music enthusiasts, this classic cassette recorder combines advanced tape technology, precise playback and recording capabilities, and timeless vintage styling.
One of its key features is the three-head Super GX system, with separate recording, playback and erase heads. This design allows real-time off-tape monitoring while recording, making it possible to compare the source signal with the actual recording.
The GX-F80 supports normal, chrome and metal cassette tapes, offering flexibility for different recording preferences. Its electronically controlled capstan motor helps maintain stable tape speed, while Dolby B noise reduction reduces background tape hiss for a cleaner listening experience.
To deliver this product properly, it is carefully packed in very strong boxes, thereby wrapped in bubble wrap with lots of padding. We mainly use plastic to fill up the package, if wished differently please contact us. The package is shipped insured to protect both the buyer and seller. For further packing wishes please message after purchase. Photos serve as additional description of product condition / condition of display & LEDs. Please review them carefully before purchase. Orders to islands, or special destinations have a higher shipping cost, for example; Canary Islands
