Description from the seller
This is a very valuable photo book by Moriyama, sold in Japan in 2002 in a limited edition of 1,000 copies!
This photo book was published in conjunction with the exhibition "PLATFORM" held at Taka Ishii Gallery in 2002.
Photo book "Platform" by Daido Moriyama, a world-famous photographer representing Japan. He continues to take snapshots while wandering around the city, depicting the ugly atmosphere lurking in the city with extreme close-ups, fragmentary frameworks, and contrasting touches. The stylish finished work is synonymous with Daido Moriyama. Pursuing a unique photographic expression, his avant-garde and experimental yet humane style has become a symbol of post-war Japanese photography, which has been highly acclaimed worldwide. This book mainly includes illustrations of crowds captured on the platforms of Shinjuku and Yokohama stations, as well as other snapshots, including "Daido Moriyama, Darkroom Road" by Minoru Shimizu. Both English and Japanese.
