This handwoven Kilim is characterized by its especially calm, restrained design and a natural, understated color effect. The entire surface is traversed by fine horizontal stripes that distribute themselves slightly irregularly across the rug, creating a lively, craftsman-like texture.
Color-wise, the Kilim moves mainly between taupe and brown. The narrow lighter and darker lines alternate closely, giving the surface a finely marled appearance. There is no emphasis on conspicuous motifs, medallions, or strong color contrasts.
