Description from the seller
For sale an exceptional fossil tooth of very high interest for both advanced collectors and the scientific field: a tooth from Hainosaurus boubker, a gigantic mosasaur belonging to the tylosaurine subfamily (Tylosaurinae).
Paleontological rarity note: Tylosaur remains are extraordinarily rare and scarce in deposits in North Africa. This specimen in particular represents an evolutionary lineage that has not yet been formally described in depth in the scientific literature for this region, which makes this tooth a highly coveted piece and a museum-grade addition for any collection of marine reptiles.
