Old religious painting - The Holy Family - 40.5 x 44.5 cm - Textiles, paper and wood - 1750-1800 - Old religious painting

Antique religious painting depicting the Holy Family: Saint Joseph, the Virgin Mary, and the Child Jesus in a landscape.

Handcrafted piece in traditional style, made with a combination of textile embroidery, gold threads and paper elements, which give it a very particular texture and finish.

It especially highlights the delicacy of the details, the golden halos, the embroidered ornamental border, and the wooden frame with linear decoration, which preserves the character of religious pieces from the period.

It shows signs of aging, both in the embroidery and the back support and the frame, as seen in the photographs. It has not been restored.
