• The chassis and underbody are in very good condition with no visible signs of previous restoration work

HISTORY & OVERVIEW:
The Ford Mustang, originally introduced in 1964, established the famous 'pony car' class and grew into one of the most iconic American vehicles of all time. By 1972, the Mustang design had evolved to a bolder and longer body, with the Mach 1 variant emphasizing the model’s sporty appearance. This particular example is a 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Cabriolet, powered by the iconic 5.7-liter (351 cui) V8 engine paired with an automatic transmission. The vehicle has French documents and is in good overall condition.
EXTERIOR:
The bodywork is in good condition with gold-colored lacquer paired with a light-beige convertible roof. The paint is in good condition with light signs of use, including small scratches and very light stone chips near the door sills. In the trunk seam, a small paint/body repair is needed. The light-beige convertible top is also in very good condition. The chassis and underbody appear, at first glance, to be in very good condition with no signs of previous work.
INTERIOR:
The interior is upholstered in black leather and is in very clean condition with only minor signs of use. The dashboard and all other interior parts and functions of the car operate as they should.
ENGINE & TECHNICAL:
Under the hood sits the 5.7-liter (5,751 cc / 351 cui) V8 petrol engine, paired with an automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. The engine and the automatic transmission perform well, and the vehicle starts reliably in both cold and warm conditions. The brakes, tires, and suspension are in good condition. A light service for imminent use is recommended.
DOCUMENTS:
The vehicle is supplied with the original French registration documents (Carte Grise).
The vehicle can be driven away from Hooglede, Belgium. Bids are exclusive of transport and export, unless otherwise stated. Arranging transport, ownership transfer, and any export documents/COC costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
