Val Saint Lambert - Drinking set (4) - Hand-Cut Crystal - Crystal - Gevaert High foot 19cm

Val Saint Lambert – Set of 4 Hand-Cut Crystal Römer Wine Glasses – "Gevaert" Model – Belgium, 1940s

An elegant and highly decorative set of four hand-crafted crystal Römer wine glasses, produced by the renowned Belgian crystal manufacturer Val Saint Lambert. These glasses belong to the sought-after Gevaert model, a design dating from the 1940s, admired for its refined proportions and exceptional craftsmanship.

Each glass features a richly coloured bowl in a different colour—emerald green, yellow-green, cobalt blue and ruby red—beautifully contrasted by the clear crystal stem and foot. The bowls are expertly hand-cut with the characteristic "côtes plates" (flat panel) decoration, creating a striking interplay of colour, light and brilliance.

Val Saint Lambert has been internationally celebrated since the 19th century for producing luxury hand-blown and hand-cut crystal of the highest quality. Multicoloured stemware sets such as this were intended for elegant dining tables and remain highly collectible today for their timeless design and superb craftsmanship.

Condition
The glasses are in good vintage condition with light signs of age and careful use, consistent with their age. No chips or cracks were observed. Please examine the photographs carefully as they form an integral part of the description.
