Description from the seller
TO HIGHLIGHT:
* Barn Find coming from a single previous owner in Spain
* Only 34,927 km on the clock
* Preserved in original condition and never restored
* Recent full mechanical refurbishment
HISTORY/GLOBAL DESCRIPTION:
The Lada Niva (VAZ-2121), introduced in the 1970s, is an iconic off-road vehicle with a unibody chassis and permanent four-wheel drive, famed for its robustness and functional engineering. This 1994 unit, of Spanish national origin, was kept stored in a garage and covered with a tarp in eastern Spain for 18 years. It had a single owner from its origin until 2024. It records a mileage of 34,927 km and has a 5-seat homologation and an annual ITV in force.
BODYWORK/PAINT:
It preserves its factory-original White/Ivory paint in perfect condition, has been polished to restore its original shine, with a very small dent on the roof, some aesthetic touch-ups have been made but preserving its character and originality. The underbody is in impeccable condition with no trace of rust, maintaining a completely clean chassis with an intact anti-corrosion treatment, very rare on these cars which suffer rust across the lower sections and wheel arches.
INTERIOR:
The cabin retains its original factory elements, including the dashboard with analog instrumentation, seats upholstered in black faux leather, rigid door panels with manual window cranks, mats, rear parcel shelf and beige perforated headlining in good condition. It is equipped with an original period sports steering wheel by Lada. The boot has its black rubber underlayment and rear seat belts installed.
MECHANICS:
Equipped with a mechanically rebuilt carbureted engine. Several preventive components have been replaced: new carburetor with vacuum conduits, water pump, thermostat, hoses, radiator, fuel pump and sender, spark plugs and leads. The braking system has been renewed with master cylinder, wheel cylinders, shoes, hoses, calipers and pads. The transmission features new seals and gaskets on the crankshaft, differentials and transfer case, as well as the clutch actuation (pump, slave cylinder and hose). The running gear includes steering ball joints, all control arm bushings and stabilizer, a complete exhaust line, and four new tires mounted on original steel wheels.
DOCUMENTS:
Documentation in order in the seller’s name, ready to transfer with ITV valid until August 2027.
It is recommended to inspect the vehicle before bidding. To arrange an appointment or receive more information, please contact Catawiki. The vehicle is available for collection in Spain. The costs related to the change of ownership, title transfer, or export/homologated documentation fees (COC if applicable) are not included and will be borne by the buyer.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
