Centrepiece - Putti doves floral scrolls - Ajour - .800 silver - Antique Centerpiece

Solid Silver 800 Ajour Basket with Putti & Doves – 26 cm – Fine Decorative Centerpiece.

An elegant and finely crafted solid silver basket, executed in 800 silver, richly decorated with an exquisite openwork (ajour) design.

The pierced gallery is beautifully adorned with playful putti (cherubs), doves, and elaborate floral scrolls, creating a lively and refined composition. The central cartouche with birds and foliage adds depth and movement, while the surrounding openwork enhances the lightness and sophistication of the piece.

This type of decorative silverwork reflects late 19th to early 20th century European craftsmanship, likely Continental (possibly German or Austrian origin given the 800 silver standard), where such finely pierced designs were highly appreciated for table presentation.

A versatile and elegant object that can be used as:
a table centerpiece
a bonbon or fruit basket
a bread or pastry dish
a decorative display piece for spring or festive tables
a wedding gift
