Frantoio Muraglia from Puglia, Italia, offers four 500 ml ceramic jars of Olio Extravergine di Oliva 100% Italiano (PDO), from the POP ART series named ARAGOSTA, FICO D'INDIA, SARDINE, POLPO, all in new condition.
Description from the seller
Lot consisting of 4 ceramic amphorae of 500 ml of Extra Virgin Olive Oil produced by FRANTOIO MURAGLIA - PUGLIA - ITALY.
Frantoio Muraglia was born in Andria, the capital of Puglian olive oil, five generations ago, but the patriarch of the family of springs counts 450. It is a majestic Coratina olive tree, a native cultivar armed with polyphenols like few among the 538 classified Italian varieties. Our story as olive oil makers begins with this green giant that dominates our countryside on the Murgia plateau, a stretch of about 40 hectares of olive trees. We continue harvesting the olives by hand and cold-pressing them in the ancient stone mill.
The amphorae are from the POP ART series and are named: LOBSTER, PRICKLY PEAR, SARDINES, OCTOPUS. The amphorae of the POP ART collection, entirely handmade by Apulian artisans, are true design objects that point directly to the colors of the land and sea of Puglia. Pop-colored marine elements: vivid tones and matte chromies in fact personalize octopuses and fish that dart on the white ceramic, highlighting the purity and artisanal perfection; pastel streaks instead become glossy iridescences of the rainbow – a distinctive Frantoio Muraglia iconography – that dive into the sea to personalize colorful octopuses and return to shore, tinting the prickly pears with warmth.
