Circa 1880, 19 × 26 cm albumen print titled Mauresque égyptienne, attributed to P. Sebah, in TTB condition with a signature.
Description from the seller
Circa 1880, 19x26 cm.
"Mauresque égyptienne", a very beautiful albumen print from the period in very good condition, with preserved contrasts, gray tones and levels of detail from TTB to Superb, attributed to Pascal Sebah.
The interest of this print is that it is not mounted on an album page or cardboard support, which is rare.
Worthy of framing (slight creases as often).
Will be shipped with its neutral pH sleeve (ideal for a collection under good conditions).
Pascal (P.) Sebah is one of the great photographers active in Constantinople in the second half of the 19th century. His studio, located in the heart of the city, quickly became a reference for travelers and diplomats seeking images of the Ottoman Empire and Egypt.
Sebah produces portraits, scene types, and monumental views with great technical mastery and careful staging.
Will be shipped with its sleeve and neutral-pH cardboard support (ideal for a collection under good conditions).
