Description from the seller
Circa 1880, 20x27 cm.
"Femme des Ouled Nails", a very beautiful vintage albumen print from the period, large format, in very good condition with preserved contrast, gray tones and levels of detail from TB to TTB, by E&A. Neurdein.
The appeal of this print is that it is not mounted on an album page or cardboard support, which is rare.

Rare subject, in situ.
Worth framing.
Will be shipped with its neutral pH sleeve (ideal for a collection in good condition).
The Neurdein Brothers (Étienne and Antonin Neurdein) were French photographers and publishers active at the end of the 19th century. Based in Paris, they founded in the 1860s an important photographic atelier that quickly became one of the major publishers of tourist and documentary images. The Neurdeins produced and distributed numerous photographs of monuments, cities and landscapes, in France as well as abroad, notably in Egypt, North Africa and the Middle East.
