Reliquary - Brass, Glass, Textile - the 20th century - Holy Crown of Thorns, from the tunic of Our Lord Jesus Christ, plus 6 relics of saints.

Oval reliquary from the 20th century, in finely worked and decorated brass. The reliquary is topped by an elegant pediment fashioned with volutes and set at the top with a cabochon in ruby-red glass paste.
Frontal closure by an old slightly domed glass; inside the case houses a rich ornament in paperoles and metal filigree on a background of time-worn red silk. The reliquaries contained inside belong to the four Apostles and Evangelists (Saint Matthew, Saint John, Saint Luke and Saint Mark), to the Holy Family (Blessed Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph), to the Holy Thorn and to the Tunic of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
The back is closed by red threads and by a bishop's seal in red sealing wax.
