Description from the seller
From our selection of collectible minerals, we propose a rare group of Pyrite with Hematite crystals from the Isle of Elba.
Moreover, it is characterized by pyrite crystals with a pentagonal-dodecahedral habit and a golden color, mounted on a black hematite matrix that creates a clear chromatic contrast, elements that enhance its aesthetic value and mineralogical importance. The specimen stands out for the quality of crystallization and the overall aesthetic balance, with features that highlight its natural structure and visual impact.
Elba pyrite is famous worldwide for the pentagonal-dodecahedral habit of its crystals, a crystalline form typical of this historic locality. The Elban mines, exploited since Etruscan and Roman times for iron extraction, have yielded for centuries splendid examples of pyrite associated with hematite and other iron minerals. The characteristic golden color of pyrite, due to its iron and sulfur composition (FeS2), earned it in the past the nickname 'fools' gold'.
This is an ideal specimen for mineral collections, display, and for those who appreciate the natural beauty of minerals, also in the field of crystal therapy and lithotherapy, according to the properties traditionally associated with the mineral species.
All minerals are 100% natural and untreated, except for rare exceptions always indicated in the description. Photos are taken with professional lighting to best bring out colors and details; however, slight tonal variations may occur depending on the device or ambient light.
Shipping is carried out via reliable and carefully selected express couriers, with fast delivery (in many cases 1-2 business days in Europe), tracked and insured shipping and professional, safe packing, as confirmed by customer reviews. Deliveries can also take place the day after payment depending on the destination.
It is possible to accumulate multiple purchases and receive them in a single shipment, even from auctions with different deadlines, simply contact us to arrange the consolidation. For important pieces, direct home delivery by appointment or at major European fairs is also available.
