Description from the seller
Of course. For eBay, I recommend highlighting ACMAT, VLRA, TPK 4.35, 1/32, 17e RCS, presentation display model and showcase, while remaining cautious about attribution to Intermaquettes since we cannot examine the underside.
eBay Title
RARE ACMAT VLRA TPK 4.35 1/32 Military Diorama Display Model 17e RCS Intermaquettes?
Detailed description to copy on eBay
RARE ACMAT VLRA 4×4 TPK 4.35 MILITARY MODEL – LARGE-SCALE AROUND 1/32 – DIORAMA UNDER GLASS DISPLAY – 17e RCS
I am offering for sale this very interesting and rather uncommon ACMAT military model, representing a VLRA 4×4 off-road vehicle from the TPK 4.35 family, presented in a real diorama under a transparent display case.
This is not a small common military miniature: the vehicle itself measures about 20 cm in length, 7 cm in width, and about 7 cm in height.
The complete set is particularly imposing, with a display case roughly:
35 cm long × 18 cm deep × 16 cm high.
The vehicle is shown in a military configuration with its cab open, its rear tarpaulin, its transport benches, its lateral spare wheel, its equipment and various bodywork details.
The model is integrated into a terrain setting featuring vegetation, ground reproducing a natural environment, and landscaping elements.
ACMAT IDENTIFICATION PLAQUE
One of the especially interesting elements of this piece is the presence on the base of a plaque bearing the designation ACMAT/ALM and the vehicle reference.
It seems to indicate notably:
ACMAT – ALM Division
VLRA 4×4 – TPK 4.35 SMT
This identification is coherent with the family of the famous VLRA (Véhicules de Liaison, de Reconnaissance et d’Appui) produced by ACMAT.
GIFT TO THE MILITARY OF THE 17e RCS
A second plaque fixed on the base bears the mention:
“OFFERT PAR LES LIEUTENANTS DU 17° R.C.S”
This element adds extra interest to this diorama as a souvenir or regiment gift.
The 17e RCS corresponds to the 17th Regiment of Command and Support of the French Army.
It is therefore unlikely that this is merely a miniature later placed into a display by a collector, but rather a presentation set conceived as a military gift/souvenir.
INTERMAQUETTES CLUE – ACMAT PRESENTATION MODEL
Research conducted around this model is particularly interesting.
It is documented that the French model maker Intermaquettes produced ACMAT VLRA at large scales, notably 1/32, for promotional purposes for ACMAT.
These large models were mainly intended for presentation and exhibition, unlike the small industrial miniatures commonly produced at scales such as 1/50 or 1/43.
ACMAT VLRA 4.35 troop transport models at 1/32 attributed to Intermaquettes are documented in literature focused on ACMAT military miniatures.
The dimensions, overall configuration, and several features of the exemplar offered here are compatible with this category of professional 1/32 models.
Documented Intermaquettes models could notably use white metal, as well as various metal elements and a thermoformed tarpaulin.
IMPORTANT:
Since the display case of this exemplar is currently closed, I deliberately did not try to dismantle it to access the underside of the model.
Therefore, it has not been possible to search for a possible signature or mark under the vehicle.
For this reason, attribution to Intermaquettes is proposed as a serious lead but not guaranteed.
The buyer is invited to form their own opinion from the numerous photographs.

INTEREST FOR COLLECTORS
Particularly interesting for a collection focusing on:
French military vehicles – ACMAT – VLRA – TPK vehicles – old military miniatures – professional models – French militaria – regimental souvenirs – 17e RCS – Army of France vehicles – 1/32 models – items of military tradition.
The combination of a large model + diorama + display case + ACMAT/ALM plaque + dedication from the lieutenants of the 17e RCS makes this a standout piece for collectors and enthusiasts.
