A distinctive set of eight identical vintage champagne or aperitif glasses, made of heavy, clear crystal with a pronounced Scandinavian Modernist design.
To attributed to Orrefors, Sweden
The glasses combine a tall, straight cylindrical bowl with a thick, rounded base, a solid short stem and a wide, flat-footed disk base. The carefully balanced geometric form gives the glasses a characterful appearance that aligns with European glass design from the second half of the 20th century.
A notable feature is the intense yellow-green fluorescence under UV light of 365 nm. The solid stems and bases in particular light up spectacularly. This special property is clearly visible in the attached photos.
