Description from the seller

Set of 3 fossils - Beginner collection - Crinoid + Angelina sedgwicki Trilobite + sliced Ammonite with Quartz - 470 to 165 million years ago

Lot of 3 genuine fossils from an old private collection, spanning nearly 300 million years of history.

The lot includes a small Carboniferous crinoid plate from the famous Crawfordsville quarry in Indiana, USA, Mississippian about 330 Ma. The plate shows a main crinoid with arms and stem well preserved and a second small crinoid on the same matrix, with good contrast on the grey limestone. Old handwritten label CCCM 56 preserved on the back, visible in the photos.

Second piece, a classic Ordovician trilobite Angelina sedgwicki from Port Madoc Porthmadog, Wales, UK, Tremadocian about 470 Ma. Complete specimen with well-defined librigenae and glabella, preserved in dark slate. Old shop label with price of 20 pounds still attached.

Third piece, a Jurassic ammonite of the Perisphinctes type from Madagascar, cut and polished to show the internal structure. The exterior shows an olive-green glauconitic shell pyritized with small fossil fauna attached and natural edge wear, incomplete on one side as found. The cut face reveals the complete spiral of chambers filled with white calcite and drusy quartz crystals. Decorative and educational piece showing internal and external anatomy.

All three are authentic, unpainted, with normal natural wear for their age. Ideal for beginner collectors or for decoration and study.

Origin USA, UK and Madagascar, all compliant with cultural heritage export laws. No CITES required.

Lot weight about 1.5 kg to 2 kg
