LEGO Set - 8759 - Bionicle - Battle of Metru Nui

LEGO BIONICLE 8759 – Battle of Metru Nui (2005)

An extraordinary opportunity to acquire one of the most distinctive and sought-after large-scale playsets from the golden era of LEGO BIONICLE.

Originally released in 2005 by the world-renowned Danish toy manufacturer LEGO, Battle of Metru Nui represents an iconic chapter in the legendary BIONICLE universe. More than two decades after its release, this impressive set has become a particularly desirable collector’s piece, especially when found with its original contents still factory sealed.

During the early 2000s, BIONICLE became a worldwide phenomenon, captivating an entire generation with its groundbreaking designs, intricate mechanical constructions and remarkably detailed fantasy universe. Today, these original releases are treasured by an enthusiastic international community of collectors, with the larger and more unusual playsets holding a particularly special place.

Battle of Metru Nui stands out as one of the most memorable large-scale creations of the Metru Nui era.

Unlike the smaller individual BIONICLE figures that were produced in substantial quantities, this elaborate playset offers a much more ambitious building experience, featuring impressive structures, mechanical functions and an assortment of specialised LEGO elements.

The set brings to life the dramatic battles surrounding the legendary city of Metru Nui, one of the most important locations in BIONICLE history.

What makes this release particularly fascinating to collectors is the combination of its distinctive design, unusual construction elements and increasing scarcity on the secondary market. Complete examples can be challenging to locate, while certain specialised components have become desirable collectibles in their own right.

However, what truly sets this particular example apart is its remarkable preservation.

Despite being over 20 years old, the original contents remain completely factory sealed, unused and complete. The box has been opened, but the LEGO elements inside have never been assembled, offering an increasingly uncommon opportunity to experience this vintage release in its original condition.

The original box remains in good overall condition, with light shelf wear around the edges and corners, consistent with its age. The front displays an area of surface wear resulting from the removal of a large circular sticker, approximately 6 cm in diameter. This cosmetic imperfection is visible in the photographs and does not affect the untouched contents.

For serious BIONICLE enthusiasts, finding an original Battle of Metru Nui with its contents still sealed is a particularly exciting prospect. Many surviving examples have been assembled, dismantled or separated from their original packaging over the years, making preserved examples especially appealing.

This is more than simply a vintage LEGO set. It is a nostalgic piece of LEGO history from an era that helped define an entire generation of collectors.

A wonderful addition to an established BIONICLE collection and an increasingly uncommon opportunity to acquire this remarkable set with its original contents still sealed.

Please carefully examine the photographs, as they form an integral part of the description and provide an accurate representation of the item’s condition.

The set will be carefully packaged in a sturdy outer shipping box with appropriate protective materials to ensure safe delivery.
