A Pair of Art Deco / Amsterdam School Candelabras – Brass & Oak – Netherlands – ca. 1925

A particularly atmospheric and authentic pair of three-armed Art Deco candelabras from the interwar period (ca. 1920–1930). This set beautifully reflects the formal language of Dutch Amsterdam School, characterized by a clean, geometrical symmetry combined with elegantly curved lines.

Materials and construction:
The candelabras are made from high-quality materials. The central column and the clean square base are crafted from solid oak with a pronounced, characterful grain. The gracefully curved arms, the profiled rings, and the candle holders are made of brass.

At the bottom, the original metal sliders/feet are still present to protect your furniture. There is also an old, handwritten inventory number on the underside of both pieces, contributing to the historical authenticity of the pair.

Condition report:
The candelabras are in good, original vintage condition with signs of age and use appropriate for an object of about 100 years old. The brass has a beautiful, deep and intact patina. In the oil reservoirs there is a light green oxidation (verdigris) and minimal candle wax, which underscores the authentic character. The oak is structurally entirely intact and shows no cracks or signs of woodworm.
