Description from the seller
Old MACALLAN brand siphons in a yellow color. Enjoy the photographs to understand the beauty of these siphons; they feature gray taps or heads from the brands Espumosos Carbónicas Peneireiro Marín Pontevedra, the most sought-after—a beauty with many years of age, in good condition for collectors and decoration. Seltzer water. They may have light scratches or small glass imperfections.
MACALLAN: a Scottish malt whisky distillery, located near Easter Elchies House, in Craigellachie in the Speyside region. Originally, Macallan aged its whiskies exclusively in sherry casks bought in Jerez de la Frontera (Cadiz), Spain. From 2004, Macallan introduced a new product line, the Fine Oak series, with whisky matured in barrels that had contained bourbon, in addition to those from sherry.
In 2007, a bottle of Macallan 1926 vintage was sold at Christie’s auction house for $54,000, making it one of the most expensive liquor bottles ever sold. Although this record was surpassed in 2018 in a Hong Kong auction where it reached $1.01 million, more recently, in 2022 a set of 6 Macallan bottles sold for $600,000 at Sotheby’s.
Macallan also makes one of the components of the blended whisky The Famous Grouse.
