Studio Pirouette, France, created a unique ceramic sculpture titled ODE - JOUR 3 in 2024 as part of the ODE 2 project; a single handmade argile piece, 40 cm in diameter, 52 cm high, 40 cm wide, weighing about 10 kg, in mint unused condition, signed by the artisan and designer with a punched aluminium plaque and delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
"An Ephemeral Ritual"
Designed to welcome a few candles on a bed of sand, this object allows for a domicile symbolized by fire that invites us into introspective and collective contemplation. Ceramics - the first "Art of Fire" - comes to life before our eyes. The footprints trace the rituals of yesterday and today, of our ancestors and our childhoods, so that we may imagine and reinvent those of tomorrow.
The work before you is a unique piece and was crafted by 12 hands in a single day (04/05/2024). It is in perfect condition.
This creation is one of 3 unique pieces produced during the project "ODE 2" initiated by the designer "pirouette". For a day, five volunteer participants went to a craftswoman (here a ceramicist-lacquerer: Chris Gullon). During this experience, they put themselves in the designer’s shoes to manufacture an object in a single day.
taille: 40 cm in diameter x 52 cm in height
poids: about 10 kg
matière: clay + plant impressions
