Emerald green sommerso twisted crystal lamp foot attributed to Val Saint Lambert, dating ca. 1950–1965, made of crystal with a green core under a clear mantle, 32 cm high, 13 cm wide, 8 cm deep, weighing about 1.7 kg, and in working order.
Description from the seller
Roughly 1.7 kilograms of solid crystal on 32 centimeters: this lamp base is twisted from a single hot mass of glass. Attributed to Val Saint Lambert, in the sommerso technique: an emerald-green core rotates beneath a thick clear mantle. Two flat wings of clear crystal catch the light from the side. In the light, the crystal traces an emerald-green spot on the table, see the images.

Description:
A slender neck leads into a body with two flattened side wings. The emerald-green core rotates in a orbit around the axis and turns into absinthe-green at the base. That base is stepped in rings and keeps the lamp firmly in place. The crystal is left uncut: every line comes from the hot work with the tongs. The cord runs through a bored hole in the base; on top sits a brass collar with a fitting.
About the maker:
Val Saint Lambert has worked in Seraing on the Meuse since 1825 and produced up to about 160,000 pieces per day around 1900, mainly for export. After the war, René Delvenne established a new line with Italian blowers. Heavy, uncut crystal in organic forms, with twisted color accents, among others for lamps. In that line, between 1948 and 1965, this lamp base fits.
In the interior:
On a dark walnut sideboard, with a linen shade on top, the crystal casts an emerald-green glow on the wood in the evening.
