Description from the seller
Rare coffee service in speckled porcelain, made in Germany in the 1970s by the house Thomas, a subsidiary of the Rosenthal group. It is the model “Scandic Cord,” recognizable by its elegant braided cord relief pattern, typical of the Scandinavian design of the era. Dishwasher-safe porcelain (Spülmaschinenfest), with a slightly textured feel, very trendy in mid-century modern style.
Contents of the set:
- 7 coffee cups (Ø 7.5 cm – h. 6 cm) and 8 saucers (Ø 14.5 cm)
- 2 milk pots (Ø 8.5 cm – h. 9 cm)
- 2 coffee/tea pots with lid (Ø 13 cm – h. 12 cm with lid – 20 cm from spout to handle)
- 1 small round dish (Ø 14 cm – h. 6 cm)
- 1 butter dish (plate: 18 x 14 cm – lid: 13.5 x 10 cm)
The set is in excellent condition. No chips or cracks, except for a small discreet chip on one cup (see photo).
