Description from the seller
Rare set of 3 vintage lidded tureens from Villeroy & Boch, model "Valeria" in red design.
The tureens are executed in the traditional Mettlacher Kupferstich (copper engraving) with a detailed, romantic floral motif in Bordeaux red on a light cream background. Made of the very strong and durable Vitro porcelain.
Dimensions from rim to rim:
- two medium-sized lidded terrines: 25 cm x 17 cm
- one smaller lidded terrine: 20 x 12 cm
The dishes are in very good condition. One lid has a small, unobtrusive internal blemish that does not affect usage. Not visible on the outside, and not sharp (see photo). The red-beige decor is vibrant in color and the glaze’s gloss is fully intact.
Details:
* Brand: Villeroy & Boch
* Series: Valeria (Red)
* Material: Vitro porcelain (dishwasher safe)
* Production period: 1983 - 1991
* Made in Germany
