Description from the seller
Set of 7 Martino/cocktail goblets, height 15.4 cm, diameter 12.3 cm. The producer is a well-known Swedish brand specializing in tableware, dinnerware and interior design, crystal: Duka, in the Sergel series (inspired/designed with references to the Swedish artist and sculptor Johan Tobias Sergel). Year founded: 1962. History: Born from the union of 16 independent Swedish shops specializing in porcelain, glass and home goods (the oldest of which had been opened in 1920 in Linköping by Hjalmar Blomkvist). Description: The crystal glass, brilliantly transparent and mouth-blown, is an elegant conical goblet. The bowl features a conical, elongated cup, supported by a stem worked with a central knop (knobbed stem) and a flat circular base. The distinguishing feature is the band incised and decorated in gold/bronze along the upper rim of the bowl, depicting festoons, stylized drapery, ribbons and laurel garlands in a strictly neoclassical taste. Origin of the ornament: The design is inspired by the neoclassical friezes and motifs created by the court Swedish sculptor and artist Johan Tobias Sergel (1740–1814), from which the series takes its name.
