Description from the seller

~Megalodon tooth from the Mioceans – North Carolina, USA
This impressive Megalodon tooth comes from the United States, where fossils like these are found directly on the seabed. This gives a beautifully robust appearance and an authentic, “lived-in” look – pure nature.

Compared to fossils from other sites, such as Indonesia, USA teeth are known for their solid, strong roots and high degree of originality. Indonesian teeth can sometimes show sharper serrations and a smoother enamel due to the sediment type in which they are found, but they are also more often repaired or even partly reconstructed. In the USA restoration is far less common, so most finds – like this specimen – have remained fully authentic.

This tooth is 100% original and unrepaired, with a powerful root and lovely natural details. A special and honest piece for the serious collector who values authenticity.
