Description from the seller
**Pair of Curved Wood Chairs in Thonet Style – Late 19th / Early 20th Century**
Fascinating pair of antique chairs in **curved wood Thonet style**, characterized by the classic dual-curve backrest and the traditional **round seat in Vienna straw woven**. The specimens feature different finishes, one in **ebonized black** and the other in a warm **reddish-brown** tone, evidence of their conservation history and the charm of the era.
The frame, built according to the renowned technique of **steam-bent wood**, expresses the elegance and lightness of Central European production from the late 19th century to the first decades of the 20th. On the brown-reddish chair there are still **traces of original production labels and marks**, an additional element of historical and collectible interest.
**Conditions to review**: both chairs show wear of finishes, abrasions, signs of time, and require conservation and restoration work, as visible in the photographs. The Vienna straw appears present but requires verification and revision. An interesting pair for restorers, collectors, and enthusiasts of Thonet design and historical modernism.
