Elegant large decorative porcelain plates by Villeroy & Boch Luxembourg, from the famous Design Naïf collection, inspired by the works of the French artist Gérard Laplau, a leading figure of contemporary naive painting.

. 3 dessert/entremet plates Diameter 21 cm.
Traces of cutlery in full light
Figurine scene from collection numbers 1, 2, 5

The 3 scenes delicately depict rural and village life: a lively square in a Lorraine village and a scene of a traditional farm. Noah’s Ark with the animals, the sky, the water. The illustrations, in bright colors and with a poetic composition, are framed by an elegant white wing edged with a double black filet, a refined signature of this series.

Produced by Villeroy & Boch Luxembourg, a manufactory founded in 1748, these pieces perfectly illustrate the meeting between naive art and European porcelain craftsmanship.
