Description from the seller
Up for auction: an extraordinary, compact, and high-performing wide-to-medium zoom lens—the Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar 35-70mm f/3.4 T*, produced in Japan for the prestigious Contax/Yashica SLR system dating from the 1980s.
The lot is presented in excellent overall condition, perfectly functional, and complete with its original Contax front lens cap and the protective rear cap.
Optics: The lens carries the outstanding original optical design, distinguished by the prestigious T* engraving in red, with its multi-coated anti-reflective treatment. The lenses are in excellent cosmetic condition, clean, transparent, and completely free of scratches or traces of internal mold or fungus.
Mechanical: The lot has been tested and is functioning. The rubberized main grip used for both manual focus adjustment and zoom range variation moves smoothly, steadily, and without any stiffness throughout its travel.
Aesthetics: Excellent overall condition, as clearly documented by the photographs. The solid metal barrel with a matte black finish maintains a beautiful visual impact, showing only minimal and negligible signs of superficial wear along the outer metal profiles.
International tracked shipping, fully insured, with professional super-protective packaging to ensure maximum safety during transport.
