Description from the seller
This exclusive masterwork ranks at the very top of Dutch mid-century modernism. This rare dry bar cabinet was designed in 1956 by the influential German designer Rudolf Bernd Glatzel for the renowned high-end furniture factory Fristho Franeker.
The design balances sublimely between minimalist, clean lines and high-quality, artisanal functionality. The two handleless doors reveal a breathtaking, symmetrically mirrored and flame-figured wood grain of the extremely precious veneer.
The floating effect of the cabinet is enhanced by the ultra-slim and elegant brushed-steel base. Between the four legs lie two solid wood cross-bracing beams, which not only provide structural strength but also give the piece a distinctive architectural and organic accent.
A museum-worthy collector's item that fits perfectly in a high-end modern or vintage interior.
