Zeiss Ikon Contax I Type 2, tested and functioning, circa 1930–1940.
Description from the seller
Up for auction is a classic, robust, and fascinating vintage 35mm rangefinder camera with a historic flavor: the Zeiss Ikon Contax I Type 2, produced in Germany at the historic Zeiss Ikon Dresden plants from 1932 onward.
The lot is presented in good general condition, functional.
Optics: The original retractable Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 50mm f/3.5 lens appears to be structurally integral, free of traces of mold or scratches.
Mechanical: The lot has been tested and appears to be functioning.
Aesthetics: Good overall condition of the camera body and the lens barrel, as documented by the photographs. The characteristic metal construction with black enamel finish retains a good collectible visual impact, showing only light and normal signs of use on the coating and edges that demonstrate its historicity.
Tracked international shipping, fully insured and professionally super-protective packaging to ensure maximum safety during transport.
