De Porceleyne Fles, Delft - R A M Veltman - Vase - Earthenware - Delvert vase

A rare vase from De Porceleyne Fles, Delft.
The painter is R A M Veltman and it was made in 1968
• Design: The decors were designed by H.J.H. Sanders and consist of acanthus leaves, vines, fruits and corners.
• Color and glaze: After the second firing, the pieces acquire a distinctive blue-green color, covered with a matte, milky glaze.
• Production problems and stoppage: The green color proved very unstable in small productions. Production was therefore halted in 1976. A new attempt in 1991 also stalled due to color problems, after which the manufacture was definitively halted.
