Oberhausener Glasfabrik (OG) - Rechaud - Amethyst - Glass - Heat holder - Tealight

A beautiful, large rechaud (tea light holder / warmer) from the Art Deco period, made of glass. The rechaud was made in the 1930s of the last century. It has a distinctive purple amethyst color. The glass is cut in a droplet pattern in relief. The rechaud was manufactured by the Oberhausener Glasfabrik (OG) from Germany.
The monograms in the glass and on the plate show the letters OG, the official factory mark of this glass producer.

The rechaud sits on four rectangular legs and has space inside for two wax tea lights / tea lights. It is therefore a two-tea-light piece.

The glass and the plate are in excellent condition. Only the air holes have a few fleabites, see the last photos.

The rechaud is also very suitable for decorative use alone, as ambient lighting. Especially in autumn, winter and during the holidays, it looks very decorative.
