Description from the seller
Eaglemoss - Brass Classical Home Decor - Solar Orrery Orbit
Planetarium Solar System / Orrery Solar System - Brass
The mechanical planetarium is in particularly beautiful and well-working condition. I have had several of them but never before seen such a beautiful planetarium, without scratches or damage. Fully intact with all planets and functions properly.
The planets rotate around the solar system via a mechanical electric drive. These are implemented by Eaglemoss in such a way that they rotate the actual orbits around the sun. This allows you to see when which planet is where, when a solar eclipse or lunar eclipse will take place.
If example: the Earth needs 365 days (1 year) to complete one orbit around the sun,
Saturn, on the other hand, takes 29 years to complete one orbit. This is visible when the planetarium is connected; fortunately you don’t have to wait 29 years to see it, the planetarium is set so that the Earth completes one orbit in half a minute and Saturn takes 14.5 minutes to complete one orbit around the sun.
The Eaglemoss planetarium is fully complete with all planets and parts. The planetarium can rotate in two directions via a switch (to reach the desired positions faster)
Planetarium consists of:
•Sun (diameter 5 cm).
Mercury, Venus, Earth + Moon, Mars +2 moons, Ceres, Jupiter + 4 moons, Saturn + 3 moons, Uranus + 1 moon, Neptune +1 moon, Eris, Pluto plus 1 moon
In addition, there are 52 booklets that contain a lot of information about the entire solar system and the workings and knowledge related to it.
The entire planetarium and its parts are fully made of brass. The planets are made of semi-precious stones. Total weight: > 5 kilograms
-Height: 37 cm -Max length: +/-50 cm
Will be very well packed and sent by registered mail. Personal delivery possible within the Netherlands
