THE ENGRAVED DECK PLATE
The top of the engine housing is formed by a decorative brass plate in which the months and days of the year are engraved. You can use this to set the model so that you can follow the relative positions of the Moon and the Sun in real time.

MOVEMENT ON A SMALL SCALE
The most striking part of the tellurium is the beautifully engraved brass engine housing with the gearing and the power regulator inside. It shows the 13 astronomical constellations that you use to track the Earth’s orbit around the Sun.

The gear ratios are precisely calculated to reproduce the movement of Earth and Moon exactly. At the motor’s highest speed the model completes one day in two seconds. A month takes 60 seconds, while a year takes 12 minutes. The model can also be operated manually, with adjustable speed.

MATERIALS & CONSTRUCTION
The gears are made of solid brass.

The cast spheres are made of high-quality ABS, are meticulously painted, and depict the surface of the Sun, the continents, oceans and polar regions of the Earth and the craters, highlands and plains of the Moon.
The Sun contains a built-in LED lamp.

The Earth axis of the model has the same inclination as our home world; the tellurium thus realistically shows the passage of the seasons as the Earth makes its orbit around the Sun.
