Description from the seller
An original print made using the intaglio or flat printing technique (likely etching, aquatint, or linocut). The work is divided into four quadrants, each depicting an abstract stylization of one of the four playing card suits: clubs (clovers), hearts (hearts), spades, and diamonds (diamonds). The initials "A.H." on the front of the work stand for Annette Harrod, a British artist and printmaker from Gloucestershire, and a regular contributor to the Cheltenham Open Studios community. This is an original in the art of printed graphics (printmaking) - each print, made by hand by the artist himself from a printing plate, signed and numbered in pencil (in this case, number 2 from a tiny edition of 5 pieces), is considered an original author's work, and not a reproduction.
