Monumental Art Nouveau Stained Glass Panel – Ca. 1900-1920 (146 cm)

Description
Beautiful monumental and large stained glass panel executed in characteristic Art Nouveau / Jugendstil style (ca. 1900–1920).

This impressive panel is set in a solid wooden frame and features a richly detailed central medallion. The central glass is refined with stylized floral and geometric motifs and stained details in vibrant shades of red, yellow, green and blue. Surrounded by subtly tinted edge bands and corner accents, it forms a stunning play of light and color.

Original use & History:
Such large panels were used around the turn of the century as a transom, transom window, or partition panel in mansions, villas and stately buildings to combine natural light with privacy and elegant architectural decoration.

Applications in a modern or classic interior:
Thanks to the generous dimensions, this panel offers many creative and high-quality applications:

Ambience lighting / Art on the wall: Perfect to mount on the wall with a backlighting LED strip. This accentuates the authentic glass structure, colors and stained details beautifully, even in the evening.

Kitchen installation: Unique to build into a classic kitchen cabinet, kitchen island surround, or as a back wall element.

Room divider / Skylight: Ideally repurposed in a partition wall or space between rooms.

Specifications & Condition

Style: Art Nouveau / Jugendstil
Dating: Ca. 1900–1920
Material: Glass, lead, wood, iron reinforcement rods
Dimensions: 146 cm (height) x 62 cm (width) x 6 cm (thickness)

The panel is sturdy and mechanically intact, aided by the original cross bars. At the top there are mounting screw threads.

Packaging & Shipping

Due to the extreme fragility, dimensions and weight of this object, the panel is packed with the utmost care and professionally prepared for transport:
Professional wooden/pallet construction: The window is securely fixed upright on a specially adapted protective pallet, exactly according to standard requirements for safe glass transport.
Protection: The panel is generously wrapped in multiple layers of bubble wrap, foam and sturdy protective cardboard.
