AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Pair of "Mushroom" table lamps in Murano glass – Italy, 1970s.
Splendid and rare vintage mushroom-shaped table lamps, an iconic example of Italian Space Age design dating from the Seventies. Entirely handmade by Murano master glassmakers, these lamps stand out for the delicate pastel pink hue and the exquisite spiral work, which gives dynamism and visual fluidity to the entire glass structure.
The characteristic organic shape, composed of a single mouth-blown glass body, allows an extremely warm, soft, and homogeneous light diffusion. This peculiarity makes them ideal to be positioned in the bedroom as elegant bedside lamps or in the living room as refined accent lighting.
Finding a perfectly matched twin set in color, size, and weight is a true rarity.
This lot of Italian artistic craftsmanship includes two lamps with a height of 27 centimeters and a maximum lampshade diameter of 24 centimeters. Each piece is distinguished by a solid and substantial weight of 1.7 kilograms. Both light bodies are equipped with a large E27 bulb socket (2 LED bulbs included).
The pair is in excellent vintage condition and shows no structural defects. The glass remains intact and glossy, entirely free of filaments, chips, or any kind of imperfection. Since these items were entirely handmade in a Venetian furnace, any extremely small air bubbles or minor asymmetries in the glass body should not be considered defects, but intrinsic characteristics of the artistic workmanship and a guarantee of the piece’s absolute authenticity. Both lamps have been carefully tested, are in perfect working order, and are ready to be placed in a setting.
Sold as seen and as-is; please carefully review the photos, which are an integral part of the description, to avoid any misunderstandings.

Every piece I select has something that captures my attention: it can be the shape, the story, the unusual... or simply that detail that makes it unique.
I am always searching for objects that speak, that tell something to those who know how to listen.
I choose them carefully, photograph them honestly, and describe them as accurately as possible.
Selling on Catawiki to share this passion with those who, like me, love to surround themselves with things with a soul.
