BUNDLE!! You are bidding for 3 beautiful artworks from AE’s “David Bowie Series”, made on Speckle-Tone archival grade paper, numbered from an edition of 10, hand-painted and hand-signed.

◉ Total size 37 × 66 cm. 3 artworks, each 37 × 22 cm.

◉ Made on acid-free Hahnemühle rice paper for Sumi-e (Japanese for “black ink”) – guaranteeing archival quality.
◉ Limited and authorized edition with registration ID, corresponding to the artist’s official catalogue.

This striking monochrome bundle of three artworks pays tribute to David Bowie through three distinct visions of his extraordinary career: the iconic Bowie persona, his enigmatic cinematic presence in The Man Who Fell to Earth, and the unmistakable visual energy of Fame. Together, the three pieces evoke Bowie’s constant reinvention across music, cinema, fashion and avant-garde culture.

Inspired by vintage concert posters, experimental Japanese graphic design, underground publications and retro-futurist imagery, the artworks combine stark black-and-white contrasts, distressed textures and bold typography. Presented together, they create a powerful visual portrait of Bowie as musician, actor and enduring cultural icon.

Artist and designer AE (Bachelor’s degree in Digital Design and Multimedia Technologies, Barcelona, 2004 + Bachelor’s Degree in East Asian Studies). Since an early age he has explored the intersection of digital culture, Japanese visual language and contemporary printmaking. Inspired by vintage concert posters, Japanese graphic design, manga, ukiyo-e, underground zines and 1980s computer graphics, he has developed a distinctive visual language that merges nostalgia with contemporary graphic design. His artworks are represented in private collections in more than 30 countries, including The Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

AE’s work combines bold monochrome compositions with Japanese typography, cosmic imagery and iconic visual symbols. Drawing inspiration from David Bowie’s musical universe, Japanese poster design and glam rock aesthetics, these artworks reinterpret familiar cultural icons through a contemporary artistic lens. The limited palette, distressed textures and strong contrasts evoke the atmosphere of vintage silkscreen prints while remaining entirely original contemporary works.

Artist was the subject of a review by respected exhibition curator Thierry Fournier (Artnoises).

“Collected AE (XX), it comes down to wanting, breaking, transgressing an invisible border, merging the civilizational DNA of the future and the past. The work becomes a ticket, a simple ‘go!’ for an emotional teleportation lived entirely in black and white. Æ2381 invites us into a timeless universe populated by symbols, unexplored signs and visual memories.” — T. Fournier (Artnoises) ★★★★★
