Title: Large Crinoid Plate - Scyphocrinites elegans - Silurian 440 Ma - 30 cm - Alnif, Morocco
Superbe et grande plaque de crinoide Scyphocrinites elegans du Silurien (environ 440 millions d'annees) provenant du celebre gisement de Djebel Issoumour, Alnif, Maroc.
Specimen complet et esthetique presentant le calice bien preserve, la couronne de bras fins en eventail et une longue tige. Fossile presentant de nombreux segments de tiges isoles autour du specimen principal, typique du gisement.
Matrice rocheuse d'origine de couleur rouge-brun caracteristique. Tres bel effet decoratif et grande taille pour cette espece.
Dimensions de la plaque: 30 cm x 25,5 cm

Etat: Fossile naturel, preparation standard. Dos scie de carriere visible (normal). Conservation excellente.
Beautiful large crinoid plate - Scyphocrinites elegans from the Silurian, about 440 million years old, from the famous locality of Djebel Issoumour, Alnif, Morocco.
Complete and aesthetic specimen showing well-preserved calyx, fan-shaped crown of fine arms and long stem. Many isolated stem fragments around the main specimen, typical for this locality.
Original reddish-brown matrix. Very decorative display piece and large size for the species.
