Description from the seller
STILUX MILANO. 1960/1970.
Very heavy.
Rare lamp of exceptional design, this is a model "RAZZO", an authentic icon of Space Age style produced by Stilux Milano.
The peculiarity of this series lies in its aerodynamic silhouette, the bulb-shaped form under the head spreads the light in a radiant way, emphasizing the lateral striations.
Structural elements and finishes confirm the piece's integrity.
Diffuser in glossy mirrored glass.
Base in stainless steel.
The lamp is in excellent condition, a fundamental detail for collectible pieces from this maker.
Approximately 60s/70s.
Height 47 cm.
Width 23 cm.
Weight 4.2 kg.
Perfectly functional.
The Italian brand Stilux Milano represents one of the most sought-after signatures in Italian lighting design of the 1960s and 1970s, famous for interpreting Space Age aesthetics by combining innovative plastic materials with Milanese metallurgical craftsmanship. Lighting pieces from this era are characterized by spherical shapes, spaceship-inspired aerodynamic profiles, and bold chromatic combinations.
Purchased for €1500.00 at a market in northern Italy.
Surely it has been recently restored but retains signs of time and minor wear; I can note that the cable and the switch have been replaced.
It came with a very distinctive bulb that was difficult to obtain, and I believe this is why it has been internally modified to accommodate E27 bulbs of any generation, including modern bulbs.
Insured shipping and not combinable with other lots.
