takatoku - Toy GoShogun - 1980-1990 - Japan

Rare and splendid opportunity for collectors of vintage Japanese robots (Chogokin). Up for auction is an exceptional GoShogun (known in Italy as GoTriniton), in its original Japanese Standard (ST) variant produced by the famous Takatoku Toys in 1981.
This specimen is offered in mint-in-box condition, a true time capsule preserved for over four decades. It is not the shuttle version, but the ST variant, characterized by a heavy die-cast metal presence and a compact, solid design.
CONDITIONS OF THE ROBOT AND ACCESSORIES:
• Robot: Immaculate condition, glossy paint and free of scratches, perfect chrome, and joints as stiff as from the factory.
• Accessories: 100% complete with all original components. Includes the chrome sword (shiny and with no oxidation), spare fists (the wrist spring mechanisms are perfectly snappy and functioning), the red rear ax/parts intact, and the original missile. The chest hatch opens correctly to reveal the spring-loaded missile launcher, fully functional.
CONDITIONS OF PACKAGING AND DOCUMENTS:
• Box: Generally good condition, with vivid colors. Shows only light, normal signs of storage and aging along the edges (as visible in the photos), which do not compromise the excellent aesthetic presentation.
• Styrofoam: Perfect, intact, molded, and complete with its rare upper white protective lid, a detail that is almost always lost and that dramatically increases the lot’s collectible value.
• Documents: Both the original Japanese instruction booklet with mechanism diagrams (遊び方) and the sought-after original color illustrated sheet/catalog from the era are present.
