This hand-knotted designer rug combines a striking geometric design with a warm, softly washed vintage look. In the center is a large, elongated medallion with dark brown contours, surrounded by multiple layered, crenellated frames and smaller geometric motifs. The strictly structured composition gives the rug a clear, almost architectural impact.
The color palette is warm and restrained. Dominant are beige, taupe, brown and dusty pink, complemented by darker chocolate-brown patches and individual cream-colored accents. The especially muted rose ensures that the rug, despite its strong geometric pattern, feels soft and homely.
The broad surrounding border echoes the geometric language of the central field and combines small rosettes, notches, and recurring decorative elements. The deliberately irregular lightened spots and the visible patina give the rug its characteristic vintage character and make it look like a one-off piece aged over many years.
