Italian Regional Knives → Sicily
Description
Spectacular Siciliano Sfilato Fraraccio, one of the most representative models of the Sicilian knife tradition reinterpreted by the famous Molisan manufactory in the early 2000s.
This knife belongs to the great family of Sicilian sfilati, tools that for decades accompanied the daily life of peasants, breeders, artisans, and workers of Southern Italy. They were knives used for every daily need: from field work to small domestic jobs, up to convivial moments and meals eaten outdoors.
Beyond their traditional use in everyday activities, this knife was often part of moments of conviviality, being used at the table to cut hams, cheeses, and other products typical of the local tradition.
The piece offered immediately impresses with the refined workmanship of the handle. The scales are made of marbled synthetic resin, characterized by evocative ivory-white, gray, green, and black shades that make each piece unique aesthetically.
The blade is made of stainless steel 420, a material chosen by Fraraccio for reliability, corrosion resistance, and excellent edge retention. As per the house’s tradition from Molisan, the blade is particularly sharp and functional.
An authentic collector’s piece that preserves all the charm of the popular tradition of Southern Italy.
Produced in the early 2000s, today it is considered by many enthusiasts a true classic of Fraraccio’s regional Italian models.
