Netherlands Pre-Philately. Collection with 2 complete folded letters and 4 envelopes

On July 9 the incorporation of the Kingdom of Holland into the French Empire was announced.

By decree of September 28 the Kingdom of Holland was divided into nine departments. All French laws, decrees, rates and regulations concerning the postal service came into force in the Dutch departments as of January 1, 1811.

’s-Hertogenbosch (Bois-le-Duc) became the capital of the Department des Bouches du Rhin.

The letters are from that period. In good condition considering their age. For an impression see the photos.
